Im from Ks. My jeep was stolen right out of my back yard by Ron Williams from iowa, we just meet 6 months before. He premeditaited taking it.
He had a key made in iowa two weeks before he stoled it. He took it to iowa on the 29 of Dec. 2010 and gave it to his son. 470 miles one way, I was devestatied and in missbeleif that he could be so unkind over a 95 jeep. Still blows my mind. I would not give up hope and deturmined to get it back. He wanted to buy it we said no its not for sale never was for sale, never and he was told that time and time again. So he asked to test drive it and it was almost 3 months to the day before we saw it again. We asked for it to be returned numious times we had to get law involved. Long storie, Iowa state patrol was not good to us at all. Lt.Wellner was rude over phone and was even more unjust in his treatment to me in person. He contradicted himself over and over about dates and saying he did not know it was stolen and we never contacted anyone in district 12 till the 19, Jan,. Not true a lady named Tammy Andy talked to and I taked to Sat. who is she I asked ,could it be the lady sittiong behind the desk their looking down acting nervice and not saying a word? Whats your name I asked. Tammy she replyed, and did go on to say that she had talked to Andy and I, and officer Swarts from kansas. no more did she say, you could just feel the dishonesty in the air unbeleivable. The towing co. Devores, had not gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived from driving all night either so we could be their Monday morning at 8 am. Elain was not honest and nervice, why i asked myself. The dates of impoundment, she said in dec. sometime at first then it was 27 days before we called them, When we got to lot she said the papers with the dates were unable to be found, excuse of how they must of went with papers to be salvaged. But they seemed to of got it togeater with state patrol and had the same dates on the papers i recieved 5 hrs later. I cannot belive what happened to us to mush detail to tell all but it was very unprofessional and wrong in all partys involved. Kansas police failed to report it stolen, also treated us with a big lack of concern. WOW We did drive to Wilton Iowa and recover the Jeep. Days or hrs of them scraping it or resailing it at a auction. I drove 470 miles and they tried to tell me it was to late the salvage paper work had been sent in and there was no reversing the outcome. I wasnt taking no for an answer, its my sons jeep and he didnt even know at the time, cause i didnt want it to effect the progress he was making in turning his life around in the right direction. He was protected from all. Deciet, anger, helplessness, alone, grief that I endured daily, Andy and I went threw togeather. It damb neer ruined us too. Thank You Jesus!!!!!!!!!! And Bethanie the one lady that was there just at that crutial moment when things were looking grim and I was about to have a break down. God Bless
